We're back and We're Open!!
In our six years downtown with cafe Aroma Borealis, Jason and the cafe have both been very active
in the Arts Community in the city. Jason graduated from
Pennsylvania College of art and Design and is a semi working artist between the rest of his projects.
The cafe featured DeJa View Gallery. It featured many exhibits
over the years including the Lancaster Museum of Art's plate exhibit
and fundraiser, works by N.G. Spatola, (the sister of the owner), Cindy
Myers, Jose Urdaneta, Kim Hondores and many others. The gallery's
last year was dominated by 2 retrospective exhibits of a cafe
favorite, Sue Moberg. Her amazing B&W photography adorned the cafe
for two solo exhibits and one joint show.
The gallery also featured a few film showings over the years.
These were projected on our 12 x 20 ft gallery exhibit wall on
the main level.
Jason and the cafe are also involved in the Spring ArtWalk. This
2 day community event held each Spring is organized by Jason and
assisted with by the cafe and now Treats Creamery . For further information check our
sister site of www.lancasterartwalk.com.
This upcoming year will be seeing some works by a few old favorites in
addition to photographic works by Natalia Knight. A new and up and
coming artist coming to this area.
